My trips can range from one-day to multi-day trips, and can take in a wide variety of habitats including river, coastal, woodland and grasslands.

Believe it or not, some of the best introductory birding can take place from Kotu bridge, or travelling on the river in a wooden canoe. This is just a short walk from the main tourist area of Kotu, and next to the birdwatching association offices.
Most visitors to the Gambia start off here with a half-day trip before exploring other reserves in the Banjul area, such as Abuko reserve or Brufut Forest.

If you are an avid birdwatcher, or perhaps it is your second time to the Gambia, why not try a trip upriver to Tendaba and then Georgetown, inland into the country, where we may be lucky enough to see some wildlife such as hippos and baboons, as well as a whole new range of birds. On these longer trips, I can arrange transport, accommodation and food so that all you have to think about, is the birds and whether you have the right camera lens on!
